While I realise that this is trying to balance still and video performance in a small reasonably priced camera, Toshiba have not been successful here.
The still shots have no image stabilisation and are constantly blurred – certainly not up to advertised spec. The still shots also require bright light to be even halfway decent, but you could do better with a 1Mp toyshop camera. The LED illuminator is a useless waste of battery life.
As for the video, to advertise it as HD is skirting the margins of criminal deception in my view. It may be technically HD, but my Sony stills camera takes better video. The results of even carefully set up video are jerky, suffer from appalling movement blur and often pixellate.
I wish I hadn’t wasted my money, and if I thought that Amazon would take it back, I would have sent it. Unfortunately there is no “no star” option in this review mechanism.

Bought this for my 83yr old Dad. Very light and handy. Good quality pictures at wide. Zoom is digital and best not used because of blurring. Sound is average, Still,for the price its a good buy. Easy to use and touch screen playback is brill. He’s loving it!!

i had a sony before but this one is way better,it has better quality, sounds good.
it is also easy to use.
