Nice and simple,
What a great bit of kit.
Simple to use, great results, astonishing zoom, projector works well and shoots well in all light conditions.
I have plugged it into a Mac and a PC – just works a treat – was messing about in iMovie and Window movie maker in next to no time.
Plugged it into an HD projector onto a 106 inch screen the HD results are fantastic.
It could focus a little faster is the only niggle I have.
With kit this good and this price YouTube better start investing in more storage space because there is going to be an explosion of high quality movies going on-line.
Very impressed with this camcorder – it ticks the cool box and delivers great results. If your previous movies have been from the movie mode of digital camera you are going to be so delighted with this solid piece of technology.

This is my intial review of this great sony product.
The delivery was on time as promised by Amazon. Its very compact and looks nice. It is my first camcoder and I have done enough analysis before buying this product. I was looking for a camcoder with wide angle lens, image stabilizer and a Full HD one. This camcoder has all these , also this has a projector and in-built USB cable. While shooting Full HD movies , the movie is very very clear in the LCD screen(its really full HD), am really impressed with that. I downloaded the movies and watched , the picture quality is really amazing. It has 30x optical zoom, its awesome..
The projector is also good, it does this job well, but it is not so brilliant.
It is having 16GB internal memory and if we shoot movies with LP mode , it can accomodate 6 hours of movies in 16 GB internal memory. If we change the mode to Highest Quality mode, it allows only max 2 hours of recording. In highest quality mode, it won’t allow you to take still images.
It also allows to copy your videos/images to external HDD with out a PC/laptop. I am yet to try this out..
Its a great product from Sony and it is very cheap in Amazon with a cash back offer( after cash back for me its only £[]). I really recommend this product to all. I am still doing experiment on this product , will give more reviews later.. so far so good to me , i love it…
I am updating this review after two weeks of my usage. I shooted many videos and its brilliant , no further words to say.
I tried the ‘Direct copy’ option for copying videos/images to external storage devices. I bought the USB adaptor cable for this. But this time sony disappointed me. I have Western Digital(WD) 2TB external storage device, when i connected the camcoder with WD storage device, the camcoder failed to detect the external storage device. Oops…finally i find out the issue. This camcoder won’t detect any external storage device which is having a capacity of 2TB and above. Also it supports only FAT format.It won’t recognize NTFS formats. When I connected my 16GB USB pen drive , it worked very well and I was able to copy the files to USB pen drive directly from the camcoder.
But still I recommend this product and I go ahead with a 5 star rating…

|Sony HDRPJ10EB Handycam – good first impressions,
Ordered this newer Sony model (from Mobile Magic) rather than a cheaper panasonic one when I saw the projector function and the cashback offer from Sony itself.
Note : this is our first Camcorder so have nothing to compare it too.
Delivery superquick, next day, packaging fine if nothing special considering the cost of the item.
Everything provided, charge for 3 hours (or more if from computer USB port, cable provided) and away you go, pretty much without reading the instructions its so simple. Very light, but no noticable camera shake, like most models appears to be right handed only, i’m a lefty but had no real issues so far. Very clear picture on the touchscreen, again simple to use. The zoom button works quick and takes a little getting used to in order to have a smooth view.
The projector function is amazingly good, once you work out the focus bit, (button on top of the screen). All you need is a flat wall, dim lighting and away you go. No need for tv or laptop, but leads provided, we just haven’t tried yet. Nor have we done the download to pc using the built in USB cable but fingers crossed its a simple useful feature, or used the software supplied.
All in all, very pleased so far. Will try and update as we get around to using all the features
