Birthday Gift,
After much research on different forums I found out that the HD600X-LV is rated as the best 3D and HD projector for the price on the market. I purchased this for my husband on his last birthday as a present and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. He has it set up with his Xbox and the Optoma 3D-XL Adapter and plays 3D gaming on it mainly Black Ops online & more recently Gears Of War 3, and watches films on just the plain white wall and from around 6 meters away he get about a 160″ wide image from around 6 meters away. We recently got Sky 3D installed and I watched the Gnomeo and Juliet with the kids and it blew me away as I had never seen a 3D Movie!! The only problem we had was that the glasses kept on falling off the kids as they are quite big. But overall he is thoroughly chuffed with his present. Well done Optoma!!

|Great budget projector for the price,
I got this Sept last year and have enjoyed it many times since.
The picture quality is more than acceptable – not like an HD TV, more like cinema quality if that makes sense.
It’s my first projector and I remember my first thoughts of the picture quality being very impressive.
I have it on a screen at about 82″ and use it for movies and Grand Turismo (Playstaion3). No problems with the quality at all.
I wouldn’t be happy using it for TV viewing daily (I have an HD TV for that) but for occational use it is great.
The fan yes I can hear but it is not annoying at all and your mind blanks it out to be honest.
Not used the 3D or bought the adaptor so cannot comment.
A friend has a £800 Optoma projector (HD80 I think). The quality of that is much better, very similar to an HD TV. But for £400 ish the HD600 is I think a bargain.
If you want HD quality go elsewhere and spend more money (2x the amount from what I’ve experienced), otherwise I find it great for occational movie use and more than acceptable for GT5!

|Optoma HD600 + Xbox 360 = awesome.,
I ordered this projector after alot of research to be coupled to my Xbox 360.
I ordered it on Friday night at around 5pm and the courier was knocking on my door before 9am the following morning!
I have just finished playing on the Xbox and what can I say other than wow! Why has it taken me so long to get a HD projector.
I have it projecting onto a very light grey wall and the picture quality and colour is superb. For the price you really can’t go wrong. Very very happy.
